Objective In close cooperation with the German Football Association (DFB), national sports bodies and the Afghan Ministry of Education, female teachers are trained to use their skills to teach sport in schools.
Approach Initially, GIZ is working with the DFB, the Afghan Football Association and the sports division of the Afghan Ministry of Education to develop a model for promoting school sports in the country.

Johann Andreas Buchner is transferred from Landshut to Munich.
From 1830 on, he teaches pharmaceutical chemistry in a privately financed institute. In 1840 he moves to an institute with laboratory and auditorium in the main building of the university in the Ludwigstraße.
In 1842 he was elected rector of the Ludwig Maximilians University.
